NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A suspicious package shut down train service into the Norristown Transportation Center for several hours Sunday.

The incident was reported around 1:30 p.m. at the center located at West Lafayette and Swede streets.

Officials, including the bomb squad, responded to a report of an unattended package at the Bieber Bus parking garage, which is adjacent to the transportation center.

Service had to be suspended while police investigated.

After about an hour and a half, they determined there was no threat.

No word yet on what that package turned out to be.

Service was restored, but passengers are still being told to expect delays.
