Brewerytown liquor store robbed at gunpoint

Philadelphia police are on the hunt for 2 suspects who robbed a Brewerytown liquor store at gunpoint.

BREWERYTOWN (WPVI) -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects who robbed a liquor store in the city's Brewerytown neighborhood.

The robbery happened on October 2 at the Wine and Spirit Store located on the 2500 block of West Girard Avenue.

The pair were caught on surveillance entering the store shortly before 10 a.m. wearing masks and gloves.

They pulled out handguns as they approached the counter and demanded cash from the registers and safe.

The suspects got away with an unknown amount of cash before fleeing east on Girard Avenue.

No injuries to employees were reported and there were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a black male with a thin build. He was wearing a blue rain jacket, black pants and orange/gray sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a stocky build and 6'0 tall. He was wearing a black jacket with yellow writing, blue jeans, and white/black sneakers.
