Burlington Bristol Bridge reopens after head-on crash

BRISTOL, Pa. (WPVI) -- Both directions of the Burlington Bristol Bridge have reopened after a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. in Bristol, Bucks County.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident. The view from Chopper 6 showed a light colored pickup truck with substantial front-end damage.

Two people were taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital. No word on their conditions.

The bridge was shut down for at least an hour as the scene was cleared. It has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
