SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Saturday morning brought more bad news for a local business owner brutally stabbed earlier this week in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police said someone broke into Southwest Auto Tag Services located in the 6200 hundred block of Dicks Avenue - for a second time this week.

The shop's owner, 63-year-old Patrick Spinosa, suffered 30 stab wounds Thursday night during an attempted armed robbery.

David Coletta said he is angry for his friend and the ordeal he has been through.

"They ransacked the whole place. It's all tore up in there even worse than when the stabbing took place," said Coletta.

"It's horrible, you know, you can't even allow the man to get better before, you know, his family has to endure more pain," said customer Angela Wallace.

It's unclear what burglars took and Police tell Action News they don't believe the burglary is connected to the attack.

Either way, it is the last straw for Spinosa's family who has owned and operated the business for decades. They ordered the business boarded up - likely for good.

"I don't think his family wants him to come back here because it's not safe," said Coletta. "He's getting a second chance at life, it looks like, and I'm hoping he takes it."

Spinosa is currently hospitalized at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with serious organ damage, but is expected to recover.

So far, there have been no arrests in either incident.
