A Cabrini College student was found dead in a West Conshohocken home.

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say the man found dead in a West Conshohocken home over the weekend was a Cabrini College student.

Investigators say he was a 22-year-old lacrosse player, but his name is not yet being released.

"We are saddened by the news, and our thoughts are with the student's family as we focus on supporting our community through this loss," said college spokesperson Celia Cameron.

An autopsy is being done to determine a cause of death, though police say they suspect a drug overdose is to blame.

There is no criminal investigation, no evidence of foul play, and authorities found empty packets with drug residue at the scene, police tell Action News.

There was a party in the home on the 200 block of Morehead Avenue on Saturday night, and the 22-year-old was found dead by friends on Sunday.

"You saw them, they were crying," said Anthony Rowe. "I guess they lost one of their buddies, one of their friends."

Rowe lives across the street from the home.

"We didn't hear anything, and the walls are paper thin," said Rowe. "As you can see we're a pretty tight street so it was nothing crazy or out of control."

Tori Conicello-Emery had just returned from church when she saw the young men who rent the home standing outside as police investigated.

"I just prayed with them just to make sure that somebody was there supporting them," said Conicello-Emery.
