2 injured after car, ambulance collide in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people were injured, one critically, after an accident involving an ambulance in West Philadelphia.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 51st and Spruce streets.

Police said a car and a private ambulance collided at the intersection.

Both victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Police have not said if the ambulance was responding to an emergency or who had the right of way.
