Authorities say high levels of carbon monoxide forced the evacuation of a restaurant in Center City's Chinatown section.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Authorities say high levels of carbon monoxide forced the evacuation of a restaurant in Center City's Chinatown section.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Race Street.

Officials report that there was also an issue with an underground PECO transformer.

At least 10 people have been evacuated.

The street near the scene was also been blocked off.

No word what caused the high levels of CO.

The incident is under investigation.
