Chickenpox outbreak delays detention hearing for arrested Secret Service officer

DOVER, Del. -- A chickenpox outbreak has prompted a Delaware judge to cancel a detention hearing for a Secret Service officer charged with trying to solicit sex from an undercover agent he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

The judge canceled Wednesday's scheduled hearing for Lee Robert Moore following the outbreak at the Philadelphia federal detention center, where Moore is being held. A prosecutor said he has been told that all inmates are quarantined.

According to a recorded telephone message, the detention facility also has suspended inmate visits.

Prosecutors say Moore sometimes engaged in online chats while on duty at the White House.

He faces a federal charge of trying to transfer obscene material to a minor, and state charges of sexual solicitation of a child under 18 and providing obscene material to a minor.
