A reward is being offered to find the suspects who stole more than $16,000 in an armed robbery of the Chickie's and Pete's restaurant in Drexel Hill.

DREXEL HILL, Pa. (WPVI) -- A reward is being offered to help police find the men who they say stole more than $16,000 in an armed robbery of the Chickie's and Pete's restaurant in Drexel Hill back in October.

The incident happened between 9:30-10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 19th at the location on the 5000 block of Township Line Road.

Surveillance video shows two suspects entering the restaurant.

"Two individuals came in, one wearing a Chickie's and Pete's shirt, ordered originally three people into the freezer," said Santo Montecalvo, Citizens Crime Commission.

Police say the suspects then confronted another employee.

"Went into the office where the manager was, pointed a gun, got him, told him to open up the safe, took the money, brought him, locked him in the freezer," said Montecalvo.

Police say there was a third suspect involved who was waiting in a getaway vehicle outside.

All three fled with $16,000 and the manager's wedding rings and purse.

Upper Darby Police believe it was an inside job.

"These individuals in Upper Darby's minds are somebody very close to Chickie's and Pete's or may have worked there at some point in time," said Montecalvo.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.
