CAMDEN, N.J. -- A sister, in mourning over the death of her brother, is asking for your help after a full year without justice.

72-year-old Pernell Earle was a fixture in the Camden community for years.

"He was a beautician, he did hair for about 40 years," said his sister, Ellen Lewis.

"He was well known and well liked," said Det. Pete Longo of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

On April 10th, 2014, police were called to Earle's home.

"Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive in Camden, New Jersey for a well check on an elderly male," Longo said. "They found Earle deceased inside his apartment with a wound to his head."

Police say there was no forced entry and nothing was missing from the house.

"I believe it's somebody that knew him," said Longo. "It wasn't like Mr. Earle to just let anybody in his apartment."

"When they took Pernell, they took half of me with him," Lewis said.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS.
