Officials say a CVS has been closed over safety concerns in South Philadelphia Friday evening.

Officials say a CVS Pharmacy has been closed over safety concerns in South Philadelphia Friday evening.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. at the store located at 1001 Washington Avenue.

The store is roped off by a "do not enter" tape.

A pillar holding up the exterior awning is cracked and possibly sinking.

Officials say the CVS was evacuated when the structural issue was discovered.

There were no reports of injuries.
