Family escapes house fire in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A family escaped a house fire in Wilmington, Delaware on Monday morning.

The fire started around 5 a.m. in the 300 block of Porter Street.

Firefighters were able to place it under control in about a half hour.

A neighboring home was also damaged flames.

There was no word on how the fire started.
