Officials say carbon monoxide sent four adults and two children to the hospital in Christiana, Delaware early Wednesday morning.

Carbon monoxide poisoning sent four adults and two children to the hospital in Christiana, Delaware early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. along the unit block of Topaz Drive in the Woodland Trails community.

Arriving firefighters detected high levels of carbon monoxide throughout the house.

All the victims were taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton for treatment.

Listed in stable condition are a 61-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman, a 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, a 7-year-old girl and a 9-month-old girl.

Investigators were working to determine the source of the carbon monoxide.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas.

Early symptoms of CO poisoning can include headache, blurred vision, nausea, general malaise, lethargy and dizziness.
