Father sentenced for shooting daughter in face, paralyzing her

CAMDEN (WPVI) -- A father who shot his child in the face will spend at least the next four decades behind bars.

On Thursday, a judge sentenced 28-year-old Byaer Johnson to 47 years in prison for attempted murder.

Johnson is responsible for an attack in 2013 that left his then 11-year-old daughter paralyzed.

Prosecutors said it happened during a dispute with the child's mother and her current boyfriend at their Camden home.
