Fire in Temple University high rise on North Broad Street

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia firefighters were called to the scene of a fire inside a Temple University high rise building on North Broad Street.

It was around 1:45 p.m. Thursday when crews were called out to the report of a fire at the intersection of North Broad and Ontario streets in North Philadelphia.

The fire department said that there is heavy fire on the seventh floor of the building.

A second alarm was struck before the blaze was brought under control.

The building was under construction. No injuries were reported.
