Firefighter hurt battling fire in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A firefighter was injured battling a blaze in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.

The fire broke out at 1:00 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Arrott Street.

Flames destroyed an abandoned apartment building and forced eight people out of a nearby home.

The firefighter suffered a minor injury, and was treated at an area hospital.

Investigators were working to determine what sparked the fire.
