Firefighters battle fire in Manayunk

MANAYUNK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia firefighters battled a fire at a vacant building in the city's Manayunk section.

The fire began around 3:30 p.m. Sunday near Main Street and Leverington Avenue.

Firefighters placed the fire under control at 4:24 p.m.

Traffic is being impacted as Main Street was already closed for a food festival, and now, police are blocking off portions of Leverington Avenue due to the fire.

A cause of the fire is under investigation.
