Firefighters battle house blaze in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Heavy flames damaged a house in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The fire started around 4:42 a.m. Monday on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street.

First responders arrived to flames showing from a second floor bedroom.

About eleven apparatus and 40 personnel were involved in battling the flames.

The fire was placed under control at 4:49 a.m.

There were no reports of any injuries.
