Fmr. Ridley HS teacher pleads guilty to sex assault charges

MEDIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- A former Ridley Township teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old student has pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault.

In exchange, a judge sentenced 52-year-old Gregory Stanczuk to seven to 23 months in prison plus five years' probation.

Stanczuk was the victim's track coach starting when she was a freshman at Ridley High School.

He also taught physics.
