Police are looking for the gunman who shot at a car while the driver was going down Castor Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the gunman who shot at a car while the motorist was driving on Castor Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on the 6600 block of Castor Avenue.

According to police, the suspect shot into the car at a close proximity.

The driver was hit three times in the arm and the car was shot six times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Detectives were reviewing surveillance video from the area.

Police say the male suspect got into a burgundy colored-vehicle, possibly a Jeep, and fled the scene.
