Guns, drugs found after shooting in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- The search for a shooting victim led police to an arsenal of guns and drugs.

Gunfire erupted just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of West Dakota Street near Gordon Street in Strawberry Mansion.

Officers arrived to find evidence of blood, but no victim.

They later found the victim on Dyre Street in Frankford.

Police were then tipped off to head back to a home near the scene of the crime.

After searching that property, they found 12 guns, cocaine and marijuana.

There was no immediate word on any arrests, either for the shooting or the discovery of weapons and drugs.
