Husband sought in 'suspicious' death of Upper Darby woman

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the husband of a woman who was found dead in a home in Upper Darby.

The discovery was made early Sunday morning on the 7000 block of Emerson Avenue.

Officers found a 38-year-old woman deceased in a second floor bedroom.

The woman's husband is being sought as a person-of-interest.

The cause of death is still being determined at this time, however, Superintendent Mike Chitwood deems the death suspicious.

"I'm saying suspicious death because I don't know any of the causes. I don't know if the woman is shot, stabbed, strangled, or could be a natural death, which I doubt," Chitwood said.

According to Chitwood, there have been numerous domestic abuse calls to the residence in the past.
