Just a strut in the park

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A parade of sorts made its way around part of Fairmount Park Friday morning.

With a musical group of mummers taking the lead, more than 500 seniors took time to be active this morning.

Sporting bright orange t-shirts, they all went for a mile-long walk at Boathouse row.

The Senior Strut health event also had free screenings, and healthy cooking demonstrations.

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging and the city's parks and rec department sponsored today's activities.
