Mailbox explodes in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the person who blew up a mailbox in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

The incident occurred around midnight Sunday on the 1200 block of Sequoia Drive.

Authorities say someone placed an explosive device in the mailbox.

Police are checking nearby surveillance cameras in hopes of catching the suspect.

Action News asked if there have been similar cases in this part of Cherry Hill.

Police would not confirm that.
