Man, 18, shot and wounded in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- An 18-year-old man is recovering after gunfire erupted in the Kensington section of Philadelphia early Monday.

It happened just after midnight on the 400 block of Norris Street.

Police say the victim managed to run to the 2000 block of North 4th street, where he collapsed.

Medics took him to an area hospital with stable vital signs.

There was no immediate word who may have opened fire or why.
