Man, 22, shot multiple times in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a Christmas evening shooting.

The shooting occurred at approximately 5:42 p.m. at 17th and Pike streets.

Police say a 22-year-old man was walking with his girlfriend when another man approached them.

That man pulled out a gun and shot the 22-year-old multiple times in the torso and legs.

Police say he crawled under his car to try to get away from the gunfire.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. His condition has since been upgraded.

No arrests have been made.
