Man, 28, dead after gunfire erupts in Chester City

CHESTER CITY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in Chester City as 28-year-old Shaquan Cruz-Chappell.

Police responded to a report of shots fired around 7:20 p.m. Friday at 7th Street and Highland Avenue. There they discovered Cruz-Chappel, who had been struck several times and pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, there are no suspects in this case.

This is the 19th homicide in the City of Chester this year.
