Man, 31, gunned down in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was shot and killed in West Philadelphia.

It happened before 10 p.m. Sunday on the 5600 block of Arch Street near Ithan Street.

Police say 31-year-old Brian Johnson Jr. of the 4200 block of Viola Street was shot in the arm and back.

He was rushed by private vehicle to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are working to determine who shot him and why.
