Police have charged a New Jersey man with the murder of his girlfriend and her father inside the home they shared in Mt. Holly.

MT. HOLLY, NJ (WPVI) -- Police have charged a New Jersey man with the murders of his girlfriend and her father inside the home they shared in Mt. Holly.

27-year-old Dennis Pozniak is accused of killing 24-year-old Nicole Wilson and 52-year-old Bryan Wilson.

A family member awoke to find the bodies of the victims around 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Washington Street.

Police say Pozniak had been living at the home with his girlfriend and her family for several months.

He was inside the residence when police arrived and was taken to the hospital for what are believed to be self-inflicted wounds.

Autopsies revealed the victims were bludgeoned to death. Investigators believe the crime happened sometime Friday night into Saturday morning.

Police have not determined a motive yet.

Pozniak is being held at a medical facility pending a psychiatric evaluation. Bail is set at $1 million.
