Man charged in Craigslist knifepoint robbery

MOORESTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police arrested a man in connection with a robbery at a Burlington County mall.

33-year-old Marcell Spears of Willingboro was arrested at his home on Thursday by the Moorestown Township police.

Police say on July 1st, Spears robbed a victim at knifepoint at the Moorestown Mall.

According to authorities, Spears lured the victim to the mall to purchase an iPhone advertised on Craigslist.

Spears was charged with 1st degree Robbery, 3rd degree Terroristic Threats, 3rd degree Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, and 4th degree Possession of Weapons.

Police say additional charges are forthcoming from Cherry Hill police in regards to a similar robbery that occurred the same night.

Bail was set at $50,000.
