Man critical after car crashes into Delaware nursing home

Two people are injured after a car crashed into a nursing home.

HOCKESSIN, Del. (WPVI) -- Two people are injured, one critically, after a vehicle crashed into the lobby of a nursing home in Hockessin, Delaware.

The accident happened at the Cokesbury Village Assisted Living Facility at 726 Loveville Road at about 3:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials say one person, described as an 89-year-old male, was trapped under the vehicle.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

An 87-year-old woman was hit by debris and glass. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two other people were evaluated at the scene.
