Man fatally shot in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities say one man is dead after a shooting in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of South 18th Street.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was shot in the chest.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No word on any suspects or a motive.

Police are investigating.
