WARMINSTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man who was rescued from a burning home by a passing police officer in Warminster, Pa. has died.

Robert Hill, 56, passed away over the weekend. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Warminster Police Officer Andrew Simkiw was on patrol, working the overnight shift, when he smelled smoke around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

He ran up to the house and discovered Hill unconscious on the front porch.
