Man rescued from underneath SEPTA train

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia fire and rescue units were called to the scene of an accident on the Market-Frankford elevated line in Kensington.

The incident occurred at the Somerset Station around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

A man reportedly ended up under on the Market-Frankford El train after falling onto the tracks.

It is not clear at this time if the man was hit by the train.

Crews rescued the man from underneath the train.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

SEPTA was running shuttles buses but has since resumed service.
