ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- First responders had to run for cover after shots were fired near the scene of a homicide in Atlantic City.

It happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at Indiana and Lincoln avenues.

Firefighters say they were on the scene when gunfire erupted.

The rescuers scrambled to get the shooting victim into an ambulance.

None of the first responders were hurt.

The shooting victim later died at the hospital. The victim's name has not been released.
