CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A grieving mother has an emotional plea concerning her son Saturday night.

Rochelle Smith says it's very difficult to talk about her son, Brett Moss.

She said, "Very outgoing, sociable person, very personable and always liked to joke, but had a very kind heart. Not one person could say anything bad about him."

Smith says her world shattered on Tuesday, August 16. Her grief is still raw.

"You see your child go to work and don't come back, you think what did you do wrong. He went to work," said Smith.

Just after 12 p.m. Moss was shot multiple times at the intersection of 27th and Saunders streets in Camden, New Jersey.

The 26-year-old died the next day.

Smith said, "I wouldn't wish this on anybody. It's so heartbreaking. This is the worst thing in the world this experience."

Detectives have released surveillance video of a potential suspect and their vehicle.

They hope these images will trigger someone's memory.

"Please anybody that knows anything please contact the prosecutor's office. It might be a little thing to you, but it actually might be something that will give them a lead," said Smith.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call 215-546-TIPS.

All calls will remain anonymous.
