Man shot dead in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 31-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed in North Philadelphia.

The shooting happened after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 2700 block of North Bonsall Street.

Arriving officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to the head, neck, chest and back.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found several shell casings in the area.

They are checking surveillance cameras for possible clues about the gunman.

So far, there is no word on a motive.
