Man shot during robbery in West Oak Lane

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- A man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times in a robbery in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 7100 block of North 18th Street.

Police say two masked men robbed a 52-year-old man.

The victim gave over his money but one of the suspects shot him anyway, before fleeing.

The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.

Police are investigating.
