Man shot in attempted robbery in East Oak Lane

Police say a man was shot in an attempted robbery in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane section early Monday morning.

The incident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. on 2nd Street near 66th Avenue.

According to police, a man in his 20's was walking down the street when two men approached and announced a robbery and shot him.

The victim was critically wounded, having sustained a gunshot wound to the back.

No arrests have been made.

Investigators are looking for surveillance video.
