Man shot in the face in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A shooting in North Philadelphia has investigators puzzled.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound sitting in the driver's seat of a car in the 2500 hundred block of West Arizona Street.

Images from the Action Cam shown on Action News at 5:30 a.m. showed crime tape surrounding the car where the victim was found just after midnight Tuesday.

Police tell Action News the man was shot in the face, but there was no sign of blood or any bullets.

The 911 call came in around midnight, but neighbors say the car had been parked in that location since 8:00 p.m.

The victim is in critical condition.

A police investigation is underway.
