Man shot in the head in Logan

LOGAN (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Logan section of Philadelphia.

Officers arrived at the intersection of Old York Road and Ruscomb Street at 3 a.m.

The found a man lying on the sidewalk. He had been shot in the head, apparently at close range.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine who shot the man and why.

They are checking to see if video from surveillance cameras in the area might offer clues.
