Man stabbed in the chest in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a stabbing that wounded a man in Center City.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. near 24th and Chestnut streets.

The victim was found with a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment. No word on his condition.

Police also located the alleged attacker who was taken into custody.

A motive for the attack has not yet been determined.
