Man suffers burns to 65 percent of body in Olney fire

OLNEY (WPVI) -- Authorities say a man was hospitalized with serious burns after a fire in Philadelphia's Olney section.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 5600 block of Ormes Street.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was rushed to Einstein Medical Center for second and third degree burns to about 65 percent of his body.

The flames started in a garage. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes.

No word what sparked the fire.
