Man walks to Wawa after being stabbed in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Police say a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. near Sheffield Avenue.

According to police, the victim was able to walk to the Wawa store on the 7700 block of Frankford Avenue after he was stabbed.

Medics and police responded to the scene.

The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

So far, there is no word on a motive for the stabbing.
