Marjorie Margolies' daughter dies at 48

BOISE, Idaho (WPVI) -- The daughter of former Philadelphia congresswoman Marjorie Margolies has lost her battle with cancer.

Holly Werth was born during the height of the Vietnam War, to a Vietnamese woman and an American serviceman.

Margolies adopted her in 1974.

Werth made a high-profile trip to Vietnam in 2012, finding her biological family, and learning she wasn't abandoned by her mother, but put up for adoption to protect her from the Viet Cong.

Werth was 48.
