NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A family asking for the public's help tracking down a missing man whose car was found torched in North Philadelphia.

69-year-old Vito Maglio was last seen around 8 p.m. Sunday at Macaroni's Restaurant Lounge in the 9300 block of Old Bustleton Avenue.

He was last seen driving his GMC Yukon on Castor Avenue by a friend.

His car was found Wednesday in the 5800 block of North Beechwood Street. It had been set on fire.

"We woke up in the morning and he wasn't there and he's never ever not come home at night," said his daughter, Lucia.

Magio's family said he doesn't' know anyone in that area.

"It is just unreal for us that it was found in that location. There are just so many unknowns especially now that's been found that we're just going stir-crazy," Lucia said.

Maglio has six children and nine grandchildren. This past July, he and his wife celebrated their 40th anniversary.

"He has a lot of medical issues that he needs medication for. We don't know what kind of state he is in at this point," Lucia said.

Lucia is planning to get married late next year. She's hoping her father can be found so he can walk her down the aisle.

"He's our dad and whatever the news may be, good or bad, we just want him to be home," said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Philadelphia police.
