Mom shot while children sleep inside Camden home

CAMDEN, N.J. -- Police say a woman was shot in the neck in front of her Camden, New Jersey home while her children slept inside early Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Teal Court.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was standing in front of her residence when the bullet struck her.

A neighbor told Action News the woman had recently moved into the apartment.

She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

So far, there have been no arrests or word on a motive.
