NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Two people have been arrested in the death of a 4-year-old girl in Delaware - the girl's mother and the mom's boyfriend.

Tanasia Milligan, 26, and Willie Reeder, 35, were arrested on Thursday in connection with the girl's death back in August.

According to police, officers were called to the Budget Motor Lodge at 140 South DuPont Highway in New Castle on August 8th for a child found unresponsive on the floor.

Once they arrived, police found 4-year-old Autumn Milligan. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Autumn suffered multiple injuries, including abdominal bruising. Those injuries were inflicted days before she died, police said.

The death was ruled a homicide and police obtained arrest warrants on October 10th.

Then, on Thursday, state troopers found the couple while they were driving in a car.

Both were arrested and charged with murder by abuse or neglect and recklessly causing the death of a child.

Milligan and Reeder are each being held on $106,000 bond.
