Police in Mercer County, New Jersey have charged a priest with sexually abusing with a teenage boy.

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Mercer County, New Jersey have charged a priest with sexually abusing with a teenage boy.

Officials arrested 67-year-old Reverend Romannilo Apura at his home at Saint Martha Parish in Point Pleasant.

Police described two alleged encounters with the same boy in Trenton. One happened this spring, the other this past June.

The Diocese of Trenton released a statement saying the alleged incident had no connection to Saint Martha Parish.

Apura has been suspended and the Diocese says it continues to cooperate with law enforcement.
