Newark man accused of choking UDel student

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A man from Newark is accused of choking a University of Delaware student.

Police say Yolande Mcallister is a driver for a ride-booking service.

They are not releasing which company he works for.

Mcallister got into an argument with a 19-year old student, allegedly punching and choking him in a residence hall parking lot on Tuesday night.

The victim was taken to the hospital, treated, and released.
